Child's Place

Heather's Child's Place

Our number one mission is to provide a safe, loving, caring and educational environment in which your child can grow and learn.

Our teachers create a caring and nurturing atmosphere that fosters each child’s creativity and positive self-image.  At our center we value people: the children in our care, their parents, and our employees. We continually work to earn the trust placed in us.  We strive each day to provide the best possible early childhood educational services for our children.  We encourage not just learning, but also the love of learning!  We provide opportunities for each child to expand their intellectual horizons.

Our center strives each day to meet not just the minimum state regulatory standards, but the national best practices of NYAEYC (New York Association for the Education of Young Children). In fact, the owners of Heather’s Child’s Place are often invited presenters at National Childcare Associations. They both present workshops on developmentally appropriate practices and activities for young children to other teachers, caregivers, and owners of other centers.

We promise to keep our childcare center at the highest level and to protect, educate and inspire your child each day with new and exciting activities.

Developing a love of learning

Each child passes through different stages as he or she gains social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.  Teachers use developmentally appropriate practices in their program, environment, activities, and routines.

Heather’s Child’s Place is very proud of our staff.  They are a loving, friendly, caring group of people who put children first.  Our teachers and assistants are trained in Infant/ Child CPR as well as First Aid.  All are required to have 15 or more hours of training per year in many areas of educating and caring for the young child. Staff turn in weekly lesson plans to the co-director for review.

Our staff encourage parents to stay informed through notes, calls, or conferences.  This helps all families to feel comfortable and safe leaving their children with us.  Heather’s Child’s Place also has an open door policy for any parent to be able to drop in at anytime to observe their children’s classrooms either in the room or in the office by monitor.
